  L5

TKW 50 kg. Fall not observed. Found 2019, Niger.

A few days ago I got my new NWA classified, it is NWA13281 – L5. Daniel Sheikh made the analysis.

A couple of hundred meteorites were found in Niger in 2019, in October 2019 I purchased this lot of meteorite from a Moroccan dealer. It is just classified in March 2020 as a L5 chondrite. Nearly all specimens have black/dark brown crust, the interior is light gray with a lot of fascinating details.

Any idea what that large reddish clast from the first photo is? Just staining?
