TKW 45 kg. Possibly an observed fall* 11 February 2002, in Morocco. The MetBul states:
Eyewitness accounts from several nomads in the border region of Morocco and Algeria attest to a significant fall of many individual stones on February 11, 2002. However these reports are not detailed.



 


Bernd writes:
The 1-gram partlice has a mottled, brecciated appearance and very fresh, dark fusion crust on one side.

The 3.8-gram partslice also has that mottled appearance and contains a round ca. 1 mm metal nodule. I purchased it from Dean Bessey in 2002.

The fusion-crusted individual weighs 4.8 grams, has about 60% fresh, dark fusion crust and shows some shallow regma- glypts and even traces of lipping.

Last but not least a very fine-grained view of my Bensour thin section in cross-polarized light.
