What is a thin section?       What do all the colors mean?

Beattiful slice, Peter! And I like Gourgeus Denis' idea about posting slice and TS together. In fact as I lay out my new meteorites book, that is what I am doing.

Hello, everybody...it's possible to posted the slice and the thin section(polarized Light) in the same time together,for have an idear of the matrix of these m*t*orites ???..It would be cool !!!
