th* next meteorite that I sent as a contribution is a small specimen of 33.8 g, is it a very interesting probable carbonaceous CM2 meteorite? . When you have seen the photos, I would be interested to know what you think. |

yes anne the chondrite of 7 kg on the photo I also think it is an ordinary chondrite, and I will follow your advice I will not cut it |
Anne Black 12/27/2019 6:28:07 PM |
No, do not cut it. Just file down and polish an area where there is no crust, I can see 3 areas where you can do that. It is called making a window. And I think it is an ordinary chondrite. |

I have already sent the photos for the contribution, would it be interesting to know what you think about the probable CM2? WOULD IT BE THE CASE TO CUT IT AND DO THE CLASSIFICATION? |

si anne it would be a shame to cut this oriented stone. I also have a 33.8 gr meteorite (also very nice oriented and with vanishing lines) is a probable CM2, but I don't have the courage to cut it to make it classified |
Anne Black 12/27/2019 2:42:50 PM |
Of course that stone should not be cut but maybe that broken corner (photo 3) can be filed down and polished so we can at least see the matrix and guess at the classification. |

thank Twink Monrad you very much, I also prefer stony meteorites, and this specimen is one of my favorites |

As everyone knows I love stone meteorites, this one is wonderful and has all sorts of interesting things about it.
Thank you for the photos.
