What is a thin section?       What do all the colors mean?
Thin section between crossed polarizers.   L6

TKW 6.5 kg. Observed fall 21 June 2018, Lipetskaya oblast', Russia.

Timur writes:
A fragment of the impact of melt breccia weighing 66 grams was found by Timur Kryachko on July 1, 2018. This type of substance is quite rare for the meteorite Ozerki. I estimate that the total weight of the found fragments of the Ozerki meteorite is about 20 kilograms.

This transparent polished thin section was made by Timur Kryachko
