Northwest Africa 4033 is a transitional L/LL5 chondrite. The angular single mass with shallow regmaglypts on two sides looks a bit desert windblasted and has only remanents of fusion crust. On its outer face there are several grey inclusions up to 15 mm.

After cutting, one of the somewhat strange looking grey inclusions with some matrix around it, was separated for thin section production. The results were great. There is a nice, polycrystalline, circularly aligned bar-shaped (barred) olivine chondrule (BOC) in beautiful formation to. Size of the chondrule is 14.5 x 8.5 mm.

Thin section pictures were taken with cross-polarized filter.

This one is exceptionally visual, inside and exterior. Love the Regs. Oh, to have a TS of that area, choice. Thank you.

The multidirectional BO chondrule is simply breathtaking. I've never seen something like this ... very, very interesting!
