198 grams. 45 x 50 x 50 mm. unclassified
Simon writes:
This was the first meteorite I bought, and it was from a dealer (primarily) of fossils. Looking back it was optimistically-priced for an unclassified, but it’s a lovely specimen, to my eyes at least. The photos don’t capture the depth of colour very well, and make it look slightly more weathered than it does to the eye, which is to say almost completely unweathered – it has a glassy texture when held in the palm that actually makes it feel just the tiniest bit clammy, though obviously it isn’t. A lovely primary fusion crust, with a secondary showing over a few breaks which serve as windows into the gross structure within. As do the thermal cracks that show up rather better in photo than to the eye. Draws a magnet quite strongly.

The last picture shows the color well on the flat side face. Really great NWA XX Simon! God bless! |

Yo tengo algunos meteoritos similares y me encantan. Soy un defensor de los NWA sin clasificar! Hehehe... Gracias por compartir, es precioso! |
