TKW 61 kg as of November 1997. Fall not observed. Found 24 November 1995, near White Hills, Arizona, USA.

Found at the arrow (green or red) on this map.

Twink writes:
November 24th, 1995, is the date that the Gold Basin strewnfield was discovered by Jim Kriegh when he was hunting for gold with John Blennert.

Recently Richard Garcia and David Libuszowski hosted a 20th anniversary hunt at Gold Basin and 44 people were there (photos 1 & 2). Most of the hunters had never met Jim Kriegh (photo 3) and wanted to know the story of the discovery and how Jim, John and Twink spent two years in secret mapping the field for the U of A. Twink enjoyed sharing the story of the discovery and told how wonderful it was that the three made so many nice meteorite friends through the years (photo 4).

Love these pictures and hope to get out there sometime in the near future. Congrats to the organizers for putting together such a great event. So nice to see so many hunters pursuing their passion.

Looks like it was an amazing time!!! Even though hunting would've been impossible for me it still would've been great to just be there sitting around the fire with everyone listening to stories. Maybe someday! Congrats to all who made finds!

Twink, major kudo's to you Jim and John for your efforts to open/map a strewnfield for so many to enjoy. On that particular day--it's obvious that Many did. Thank you!

Yes Richard and Dave did a great job of organizing the memorial hunt. As Jim always said, "they will be finding these stones a hundred years from now" and it made him proud that he provided all of us hunters with this area accessible to all and he certainly treasured all of the friends he made through this project. The photo of him and his loyal dog Kristy was our last hunt at the Basin.
