TKW 16.3 kg. Fall not observed. Found in 1818 when a field was cleared for cultivation on William Temple's property in Cambria, which is about 12 km west-northwest of Lockport, Niagara County, NY, USA.

Thank you Twink. I had never heard of Gene Schlepp before getting this meteorite. And I had never heard of Cambria either!! Did you ever go hunt around Washington Camp? Thank you for all this information.

Thank you. Very nice Octahedrite structure, including the double armored everything. Hopefully, for future generations, it left its meteorite seeds in that field. Interesting provenance story.

Jim Kriegh and I met Gene Schlepp our first year at the Gem Show with our Gold Basins. Jim bought flats of minerals from Gene and Gene told us about a wonderful place to hunt crystals and silver and copper ore specimens near Washington Camp AZ. Did not know he was into meteorites too! Interesting...
