What is a thin section?       What do all the colors mean?
Thin section in cross-polarized light.   Diogenite

TKW 485 grams. Fall not observed. Purchased 2005 in Morocco.

Anne writes:
With odd sprays of plagioclase.

I see a white puppy howling at the Moon, or at an asteroid. What do you see?

A carven stone puppy mottled and streaked with black upon white in a garden of gems fluorescent and bright that glow like the wildflowers an esoteric delight there he stands howling and crying "Lost-Dog" into the dark of the night Not the way that T.S. Eliot would have written it, I suppose...
